US breakcore deep emotional tissue massager Crippling Self Doubt presents his first album since 2017 and his first for Protocore Records.

It's hard to describe what you're about to face here so I'll let him do it.

"So trying to finish the follow up to Crippling Self Doubts hit album "fingerbanging the american dream" has been the hardest thing I have ever done as an artist on so so so many levels...so...Crippling Self Doubt- Saying Goodbye was started on 2017...and was worked on steady till October of 2018...where I just couldn't do it anymore...this album just became too dark and too personal...death's of close friends, multiple suicide attempts from a family member, other deaths and overdoses by people just removed from me...friends of friends...the weight of the work I was trying create basically crushed me. I couldn't compartmentalize the tragedies and the reality I was trying to draw influence from was brutal. I was trying to create a cinema quality soundtrack to the misery I and some close friends were experiencing at that time...shit just got way too real. Too personal. So...I took a hiatus until about last month when I began work on it again. Even after all these years...the shit is still incredibly heavy...but its genuine...its honest...and its raw with real emotion. In many ways being forced to process these tragedies into art has been a process of healing, learning, and understanding the process of loss and saying goodbye to a loved one when its so abrupt...and even when your watch the slow horrible decline of a loved one to substance abuse, depression, and failures....and the helplessness you feel watching it happen. That's why I approached this like a soundtrack to a movie. A slow churning drone that crescendos into the mania of the death process itself....then to the icy cold depths of where we bury the dead so we can begin to forgive, forget and drudge on...with the whole of their absence always there weighing us down. The album is oppressive. It's heavy. Its necessary. It is also my masterpiece...regardless of how much pain if caused me to make. I look forward to it's release. It will be like letting all this pain go...I really look forward to that..."
