(PC10) Noistruct - The Transgressor: In Dub"
Next on The Transgressor Expanded remix series is the first volume of "The Transgressor: In Dub"
Inspired by the music of Godflesh's "In Dub" remix series, Lux Nigra's Biophilia Allstars compilation, Ambient 4:Isolationism, Macro Dub Infection compilation series, Electric Ladyland series on Mille Plateaux/Force Inc, The Lo Fibre Companion on Invisible Records, Zhark International, Crossfade Entertainment, Gil Melle's score to the 1971 film "The Andromeda Strain", Zonal's "The Quatermass Project", Alec Empire's "Low On Ice" The "Chinese Whispers" compilation on Sprawl, Thomas Khonen, Fudge Tunnel "versions", Black Lung's "The Coming Dark Age" I-VII by Vitriol and the Final albums "One" and "Two" just to name a few influences...
"The Transgressor: In Dub" collects remixes of the successful 2016 Noistruct album released on ENDE Records produced by a range of artists and producers with no instruction and no direction other than to do whatever you like. The resulting remixes that suited this collection were directed here.
The result is a collection of remixes from various artists and producers over a range of styles and genres that range from dark dub, broken beat industrial, abstract hip hop, industrial doom metal, no step, dark ambient, foundsound experimental, musique concrete, minimal techno and downtempo halftime breakcore and fuckstep among others.
This collection also includes a series of VIP remixes by Noistruct and other related projects such as Mandark and Notex. Some of these remixes were released on ENDE Records as new tracks with new titles. Some have never been released and some were only half finished and completed recently for these collections.
These collections show some of the tracks made between 2014 and 2016 that were considered for "The Transgressor" and would have suited the album but space and time did not allow.
"About 6 years ago while working on a collaboration with German breakcore producer Breakforce One (Gade Systems) that was eventually scrapped at his insistence.
I decided to stop being precious about my music and just re-release, reuse and rework a track I'd made before or include it on another album or EP even if it had already been released. With over 8000 tracks that I've made and some I thought deserved a second shot at being released. I kind of followed the example set by producers like David Thrussell. If it fit on a new release then use it again.
This method of recycling and recontextualising tracks is not something I do with every release but when it fits it can help something new I'm doing sound more complete. I'm not really interested in just throwing up random tracks together online to make a collection. I need a narrative and some flow and cohesion I can enjoy as a complete body of music. So some tracks previously available are retitled and reused here to add more weight and depth to the idea behind this collection of remixes"

Crushingly Heavy Industrial Doom Noise Duo from Birmingham England featuring Andy Swan (Iroha/Final) and Damien Bennett (16-17/Carthage/Deathless).
