about

(PC17) Producer Snafu - Self Inflicted Beatings

Producer Snafu is the sweetheart of the worldwide breakcore scene. An infectiously upbeat, open minded, jovial, warm and positive thinking producer with a fanatical love of old school IDM and breakcore.

He first came to prominence cutting his teeth on French web label Chase Records in 2005 alongside producers like Tzii, Noistruct, Meatsock and Throttler and later released on God Rekidz, Terrornoize Industry, Automation Records and NGM Records. He's been an inspiration to many for many years.

His attitude and optimism and mastery of blending chiptune sensibilities with heavy breakbeats has made him a top choice for remixing by many producers in the last decade alone including a noted remix for The Outside Agency for PRSPCT.

In 2006 Producer Snafu, a great fanatic and aficionado of the Australian Breakcore Scene. Produced this 4 track EP for a then well known Australian label for release as a limited run of CDRs. Unfortunately before it could be released the label folded and feeling it didn't fit anywhere else really due to the themes included - Snafu shelved it.

Now for the first time in 16 years!! The unreleased EP "Self Inflicted Beatings" is finally released on another Australian label Protocore Records as a paid digital release! Marking his first release for ENDE Records Australia.

Featuring a remix of Epsilon's "Simon Says Winter", a heartfelt tribute to Epsilon and 2 other chipbreak breakbeat smashers which showcase Snafu's skill in the heavier side of breakcore production which he was known for in the mid to late 2000s.
